At The Brookwood Community, thoughtful and careful financial work helps make our mission possible. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to help keep our finances accurate, well organized and faithfully stewarded. In this role, you’ll reconcile bank and credit card merchant accounts and research and resolve transaction issues. You’ll also review revenue from our retail stores and Café to make sure it’s reported correctly. You’ll manage our fixed asset processes, including recording acquisitions, calculating depreciation, and preparing audit schedules. You’ll also manage Citizen home accounts and extraordinary-expense statements for families. Working alongside the Staff Accountant and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll support financial statements, tax filings, and the annual operating budget. We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of two years of accounting experience. Non-profit or fund accounting experience is a strong plus, and so is familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge.
