Brookwood volunteers come from a wide array of diverse backgrounds. From teens to retirees, people choose to give back to the community and gain new experiences. The vital work of The Brookwood Community alongside adults with disabilities is made possible by people like you who contribute unique backgrounds, talent, and skill levels.

If you have not completed your INDIVIDUAL volunteer application and received approval, you may SIGN UP to volunteer by clicking on the NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATION link below, select SIGN UP in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and follow the steps to submit your application. You will be notified when your application has been reviewed and your status updated.
Groups, clubs, and businesses mobilize their members and employees to demonstrate their commitment to making a difference. If your organization is interested, please complete the application form and the Volunteer Manager will contact you. Group volunteer opportunities are available weekdays and can also be scheduled for evenings and Saturdays. Often, groups and organizations like to help with special projects.

Being young is no barrier to be of service. School or youth groups (age 15+) come to The Brookwood Community for after-school or Saturday projects. Have more questions? | Citizen Activity | Sports and Fitness | Assist with programs centered around Special Olympics and fitness training. | Saturdays & weekday evenings after 4:00pm throughout the year. | Opportunity for groups (school, youth, organizations, etc.). Minimum age 12. Groups require chaperones/group leaders for group to participate. Need energy and ability for simple exercise moves. Dress comfortably for outdoor activity. No short shorts. |

NOTE: These volunteer opportunities are working with Citizens in their Work Programs and require an interview process to be completed to insure you are matched with Citizens who are a fit to meet their personality, needs, and capabilities.

| Stone Casting | Studio Assistant (2 volunteers per day) | Work with Citizens and staff to sand and patch stone casting products; paint, tea stain and assist with daily classroom activities; steady hand required. | Tuesday-Friday 9:00-11:00am; 1:00-3:00pm | On-the-job training; first day a trial day. May work 9:00am-3:00pm shift and bring your lunch. Bring your own apron. Allergy risk: plaster, paint, dust. |

TOURS
Experience for yourself how Brookwood is changing the way the world thinks about adults with disabilities by signing up for a Brookwood tour. Docents will guide groups of more than 10 around the 485-acre campus for a behind the scenes look at where our Citizens live, work, play, and worship.
Coupled with shopping in the Gift Center and a gourmet lunch in the Café, you’ll have the perfect day.
